Conservatory Instructors

Noelle D.W. Chandler is your current Education Director and an actor and director o the Playhouse stage.  She is your go-to girl for Conservatory information and quality control for children's theatre at Playhouse Merced.  In the 45 minutes a day that she's NOT at the Playhouse, Noelle enjoys playwriting, playing with her iPhone and going to be at 9pm.

Danaelle Rodriguez is our on-call Youth Teacher and Director at Playhouse, who loves, loves, loves working with kids!  Originally from Manteca, Danaelle loves crafting and painting, designing hair and make-up, and teaching the youth of Merced about the joys of live theatre!

Kim Romero has 5 years of teaching experience, with a mission to instill a love of dance in her students while building self-confidence and having fun.  Kim started her dance career on a Junior dance team in Fresno where she received training in jazz, ballet, gymnastics and drill.  This experience gave her opportunities to dance n nationally ranked dance teams and teach high school summer camps for Universal Dance Association.  She spent two years on the Fresno State University Dance team and is a former member of the San Francisco 49er Gold Rush Cheerleaders.

Chenté Cervantes is amazingly proud to come back to the Conservatory at Playhouse Merced.  Since 1995, Chenté has choreographed, directed and performed in numerous productions throughout California and has taught dance for over 10 years.  Chenté studied Musical Theatre Performance and Choroegraphy at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Los Angeles and is excited to bring his skills and talents through education to the amazing youth of Merced County..

Michelle Kittel is more commonly known as "Mike" around the Playhouse.  She is our on-call Stage Management expert and resident Anthropologist, as well as a sought-after actor among local directors.  Michelle enjoys crocheting, teaching Technical Theatre classes, and her dog, Kupo.
