The Conservatory year is wrapping up here at Playhouse, but that does NOT mean winding down. Our kids are gearing up for some sensational performances, five nights of crazy Playhouse kid-centric fun!
If you've never been to a Conservatory performance, imagine this: lights and sound on our Main Stage, light costumes over theatre blacks to support the idea of a "showcase," and all the giggly homespun fun of a dance recital or choir performance like you'd see in school, only BETTER. Kids get here and head upstairs while their parents find seats (tickets are free to the public) and then the show begins; Miss Noelle and individual teachers make some small announcements, and then students begin performing. This year, Intro Level has a WHOLE SHOW unto themselves (Tuesday, 5/24) as does Level I (Wednesday, 5/25) and then Level II/Triple Triple Threat (Thursday and Friday, 5/26-5/27). Then we'll finish off the week with a sophisticated afternoon tea with our Shakespeare and Playwriting classes on Sunday, 5/29.
Each night of showcases has a theme to the show, so you'll get to see a whole story woven together through individualized pieces! Can you guess what the themes are?
