Conservatory Newsletter 5/6/2016

Good morning, Conservatory-ers!

Happy birthday to Aralyn Day, one of my long-time kiddos...a birthday which I will always remember because it's also my wedding anniversary! When she was celebrating being one year old, I was getting married to my husband. Go figure. Happy day to us!

Fun announcements on the horizon today, but I won't take up too much of your time.

1) Check out newsletters and other updates on the Playhouse Blog!

Can't get to your email? Need a date or time or phone number NOW? Visit and click on the "blog" tab at the top of the page. Every week, Miss Noelle will update the blog with the most recent Conservatory newsletter, so they should all be there for you to view, easily and happily. Now we can all stay on the same page together!

2) End of Year Performance Schedule

Write this down. Print this out. Do not forget this.

Tuesday, May 24: Selections from "Aristocats" with the Intro Level Classes (acting, voice, and dance). 7pm show, should last approximately 30 minutes. No tickets required, all are invited. Classes will NOT meet again that Friday.

Wednesday, May 25: Selections from "Bugsy Malone" with the Level I Classes (acting, voice and tap). 7pm show, should last approximately 30 minutes. No tickets required, all are invited. Classes will meet the Tuesday before (acting and voice) but not the Thursday after (tap).

Thursday, May 26 & Friday, May 27: Selections from "Les Miserables" with the Level II, Songs & Scenes and Triple Threat Classes (acting, voice, and lyrical). 7:30 show both nights, show should last approximately 90 minutes with an intermission. No tickets required, all are invited. Classes WILL meet all that week (Tuesday and Thursday, prior to the show).

Sunday, May 29: Playwriting and Shakespeare "Afternoon Tea" Showcase with Playwriting and Shakespeare students. 2pm on Sunday, show should last approximately 45 minutes. No tickets required, all are invited. Classes WILL meet Wednesday May 25.

As you can see, every class is accounted for except Adult Tap. Due to the new and purely educational nature of that class, there will not be a performance. On the final day of class, students may videotape to show parents or friends, or invite a small number to watch them perform.

3. "Big Fish" Opens TONIGHT

A charming and beautiful story about the tangled relationship between father and son. NOT a show to be missed! Visit for tickets before it sells out.

I'm gonna go help the amazing tech crew at Playhouse now. See you all at the theatre!
