Playhouse Merced, also known as Merced Center for the Performing Arts, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit community theater that has been dedicated to enriching, engaging, and educating the Central Valley since 1994!  Starting out as a Youth Conservatory, Playhouse Merced set out to use arts education as a means of enriching a far more rural Merced’s culture.  Today, decades later, Playhouse Merced’s conservatory program is still going strong, riding in tandem with a very robust Main Stage season.

With our Main Stage productions, we offer a healthy variety of shows so that there is a little something for everyone.  From family-friendly classics to hair-raising horror, both performers and audience members alike can find a show that resonates with them. With our season selection, we aim to both delight and challenge our audiences.
